About

Taylor Pecchenino, LMFT, CIMHP

I specialize in working with those struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, stress, loneliness, and challenging life changes through a holistic approach to treatment. l have a passion for working with women and college-aged students, and as follower of Jesus Christ, I also love to support clients with a shared faith background. For those who do not share the same faith, I enthusiastically welcome you into my practice. As a Certified Integrative Mental Health Professional, I believe that effective treatment must look holistically at an individual’s life to assess and address all factors that may be contributing to the challenges they are experiencing. Rather than trying to “bandaid” the situation, we will work to get to the root of the issue. We will look holistically at you or your child’s life and identify the areas that need attention. Research demonstrates that mental health is impacted not only by our innermost thoughts, feelings, and experiences, but also by our careers, relationships, hobbies, spirituality, physical health, and nutrition. After we develop a deeper understanding of the origin(s) of your symptoms, we will utilize evidence-based interventions and a mind-body-soul approach, to address the issues head on and learn skills to help you meet your goals and navigate the stressors of life more effectively. Whether this is your first or fiftieth experience with a therapist, the first contact can always be challenging. I am honored that you are considering working with me. Please contact me via email to discuss scheduling and/or phone consultation. I look forward to hearing from you! FAQS "Do you accept insurance?" My hope is to make therapy as accessible as possible, while continuing to protect the quality of care I provide. I currently accept Aetna and Optum (which includes Oxford, Oscar, & United Healthcare). For those who would like to utilize their out-of-network benefits from another insurance company, I will provide a monthly superbill to submit for reimbursement. How often will we meet? You are a unique individual with unique needs and goals. Therefore, session cadence will be individualized to each client. However, typically we will begin meeting on a weekly or bi-weekly basis so that we can build good momentum and start to see change occur quickly. What is a CIMHP? A CIMHP is a Certified Integrative Mental Health Provider. This is a certification that in conjunction with my license allows me to: - Integrate holistic and complementary approaches (e.g., nutrition, sleep, lifestyle, mind-body practices) into mental health treatment. - Offer evidence-based integrative strategies alongside traditional therapy. - Educate clients about the role of diet, supplements, exercise, and stress reduction in mental wellness. - Collaborate with other professionals (like nutritionists or functional medicine doctors).
